Seva Regenerative Residency

Seva Regenerative Residency · Talamanca, Costa Rica

Live the regenerative life before you build it.

This isn't a vacation, and it isn't a course. It's an invitation to join a living, breathing ecosystem in the Costa Rican mountains and help create a different way of life, side by side with the people who live it every day.

Take a look

A glimpse of life here

Sound familiar?

You've saved the videos. You've dreamed about the land. You still don't know where to start.

Books and courses give you theory. What they can't give you is the feel of it: how the water moves on a slope, what compost smells like when it's working, how a day actually flows when you live off the land. The fastest way to learn regenerative living is to live it, somewhere it's already happening.

The three pillars of Seva

Come grow with us.

1

Live the Lifestyle

Experience regenerative living firsthand.

2

Learn by Doing

Gain practical knowledge through participation and collaboration.

3

Closed-Loop, Self-Reliant Living

Help create systems that regenerate the land and move us toward greater independence.

We're not selling a vacation, and we don't promise to teach you everything. We're inviting you into a living, breathing ecosystem where you take part in creating a different way of life.

Welcome to Seva

A working farm, a primary forest, and a way of life.

I'm Kory. I live here and help run Seva Farm, high in the Talamanca Mountains of Costa Rica. Seva is Sanskrit for selfless service, and that's the spirit of this place: we tend the land, and the land takes care of us.

We grow cacao, medicinal herbs and food, and we source our ceremonial cacao directly from our Cabécar and BriBri neighbors. I'm earning my Permaculture Design Certificate and applying everything I learn right here. The residency is how we invite others to grow with us.

A day on the farm

Freedom within contribution.

Residents give about 10 hours a week to the farm's real work. The rest of your time is yours: explore the jungle, swim the rivers, practice on your own projects, or just slow down.

Questions

Before you apply.

Do I need any farming experience?

No. Most residents arrive as complete beginners. What matters is curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

How long can I stay?

Stays are monthly, and most residents stay several months.

What is the 10 hours a week?

Real farm work: planting, the cacao grove, compost, the nursery. It's how you learn by doing, and how we build closed-loop systems together.

Can I work remotely from the farm?

Yes. Starlink internet is included in every stay.

How do I get food?

You buy and cook your own.

Can I bring my family?

Yes. Families get a private house, starting at $1,500 a month.

Jungle mornings. Beach days. Room for both.

Root yourself here. Explore beyond.

Beautiful beaches are about an hour and twenty minutes away. Spend a month or two finding your rhythm at Seva, make time for the coast, or divide a longer Costa Rica stay between farm life and beach life.

Bring your own projects and curiosity. Whether you work online, design, tell stories, create content, or simply want to get your hands into something real, there is room to explore how your skills could contribute to life on the farm.

Stay awhile. Contribute. Keep exploring.

If you've read this far, the land might be calling.
